Description
This NIH grant project aims to examine the role of cognitive offloading during prospective memory encoding, storage, and retrieval to mitigate age-related declines in prospective memory. The research combines behavioral and physiological measures to develop a comprehensive framework for understanding prospective memory mechanisms, age-related declines, and the efficacy of cognitive and strategy training as memory enhancement techniques. The long-term goal is to develop tailored interventions to improve cognitive functioning in older adults and individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
