Research project investigating the impact of maternal viral infection and inflammation on fetal T cell development and long-term immune function changes using advanced single-cell analysis and a mouse model.

Description

This project aims to examine how maternal infection and inflammation influence fetal thymic development of gamma delta T cells, and whether these changes persist into neonatal and adult stages. Using a mouse model and single-cell proteogenomics, the study will delineate the effects of maternal immune activation on thymic gamma delta T cell transcriptional and epigenetic landscapes, mechanisms involved, and the impact of placental-tropic viral infection.
