Description
This project will be the first to prioritize the daily experiences of bisexual (bi+; i.e., individuals who are attracted to men and women) young adults and their partners when examining the proximal and prospective association between alcohol use and intimate partner violence (IPV) perpetration. It aims to enhance scientific knowledge of alcohol use and IPV disparities among bi+ young adults and their partners, a high-risk population for heavy drinking and IPV. The study will identify daily experiences such as bi+ stress and partner support that may potentiate or mitigate alcohol-related IPV, providing evidence for targeted interventions.
