The project focuses on HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND) and the impact of substance abuse on HIV brain reservoirs and neurobiology. The project is led by Professor Schahram Akbarian and involves collaboration with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
