Development and validation of a diagnostic test for severe spermatogenic failure and associated cancer risks, focusing on epigenetic modifications in MSH5, targeting men with non-obstructive azoospermia.

Description

This project aims to develop a semen-based reflexive diagnostic test for severe spermatogenic failure and associated malignancy risks in men, particularly targeting non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA). The study will validate the test in a CLIA-certified lab and investigate the incidence of MSH5 epimutations in a broad cohort of NOA patients and colorectal cancer patients to enable precision medicine and improve diagnostic solutions.
