Description
Natural Killer (NK) cells are part of the innate immune system and play an important role in controlling Human-Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. Their function is tightly controlled by a balance of activating and inhibitory receptors present in both the NK cell and the target cell. The application aims to decipher the cellular processes that control the interaction between HLA-F and KIR3DS1 and its role in the effector function of NK cells towards HIV-infected cells.
