Description
Somatosensory Attunement Model: A Dyadic Model for Infants and their Caregivers (NON-TAXABLE) Trainings to start on or after April 13, 2026 and to be completed by June 30, 2026 TBD, 3 different free locations in LA County (3) FOUR-DAY TRAININGS 4-Day Certification Training - Infant Massage USA -20 Participants in each of the three trainings (60 total participants) -Follow-up consolation calls to support certification/practice MATERIALS: -Year one membership; demonstrations doll; Demonstration onesie; Instructor manual (English); Vimala Book DELIVERABLES: Somatosensory Attunement Model: A Dyadic Model for Infants and their Caregivers Training Project (Infant Massage) To teach infant massage to the participants so that they can teach parents/caregivers how to use infant massage with their infants/children and show them how it is beneficial to them. This training involves both practical and theoretical work. Also, student-directed with written assignment completion, practicum (practice teaching of families), and self-reflection summary are part of the training content. Trainer facilitated lecture and discussion including visual slide presentations and videos, trainer guided hands-on practice of massage techniques on a doll, small group discussion, and activities including practice teaching and self-reflection exercises are part of this training. Curriculum to include, but not limited to: 1. Infant handling and positioning. 2. Understanding, supporting and valuing parents. 3. Marketing and promoting infant massage classes. 4. Cultural considerations relating to different customs with each family. Trainer: One Trainer per day Date(s): Training delivery dates are not set yet; trainings to start on or after April 13, 2026 and to be completed by June 30, 2026. Materials: All copies of training materials are to be furnished by the vendor. Length: Three (3) 4-day trainings, up to 10 follow-up consultation calls, one-year membership for each trainer, and materials (including a doll per participant and oils) are included in this request. Location: TBD, 3 different free venues throughout the Los Angeles County Participants: Up to 60 DMH clinical and non-clinical staff (20 per training session) who work with children ages birth to five. TERMS: DMH retains the exclusive right to cancel training services not yet delivered. DMH will only pay vendor for actual deliverables rendered, as identified in the Purchase Order. All the services outlined in this SOW are to commence upon awarding of the Purchase Order.
