Board Resolution on Oct.16,2025; WHEREAS, the district sustained an unsuccessful attempt to breach its computer system in the Spring of 2025 which was reported to the district's insurance company, New Jersey Schools Insurance Group (NJSIG) under the cyber liability coverage provision of the district property and casualty coverage; and WHEREAS, NJSIG assigned the cyber security firm Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. to review the circumstances of the attempt, review the district's security measures and offer suggestions to continue to prevent any breach in the future. The cost of these services is $109,780.89; and WHEREAS, the district's deductible under the cyber security provisions of the property and casualty insurance is $250,000.00; now therefore BE IT RESOLVED, the Jersey City Board of Education, upon the recommendations of the Superintendent and the School Business Administrator, authorizes payment to Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., 8283 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA 22102 in the amount of $109,780.89; Acct. #26.11.000.262.520.066.00.0000.
