Research grant investigating how intestinal microbiota and dendritic cells affect stroke outcomes, aiming to develop new prevention and treatment strategies through immune modulation.

Description

This project aims to elucidate the role of intestinal microbiota in stroke pathobiology and develop new preventative and therapeutic strategies by testing the hypothesis that microbiota interact with dendritic cells to influence stroke outcomes by modulating immune responses. The research involves mouse models of cerebral ischemia, altered gut bacteria, immune cell tracking, and in vitro coculture models.
