Description

This project aims to establish the underlying mechanism(s) of mitochondrial biogenesis that contribute to radiation-resistant prostate cancer (RR-PCa) cell survival and metabolism and to determine if targeting inherent mitochondria and radiation-acquired mitochondria can overcome RR-PCa. The project will use state-of-the-art platforms to uncover novel molecular insights by which concurrently targeting mitochondrial redox capacity and mitochondrial biogenesis improve radiation therapy efficacy of RR-PCa.
