Description
The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Cancer Center (CSHL-CC) aims to unravel cancer biology through collaborative research and technology development, training scientists, and fostering translational research. The Organoid Shared Resource (O-SR) supports this mission by providing access to organoid and drug screening technologies, enabling research on molecular drivers of cancer, heterogeneity, and preclinical therapeutics. The O-SR offers capabilities for generating, culturing, and experimenting with three-dimensional organoid models that mimic tumor heterogeneity and microenvironment interactions. Services include derivation, biobanking, high-throughput drug screening, high-content imaging, and quality control via digital droplet PCR. Protocol optimization for patient-derived organoids from various tumor types has been achieved. The facility maintains a biorepository and has acquired advanced imaging and liquid handling systems. The O-SR has contributed to numerous publications and supports investigators in incorporating organoid platforms into cancer research.
