Description
The project aims to test the use of patient navigators to increase uptake of and persistence with evidence-based weight loss interventions among adults with overweight or obesity. Navigators will assess treatment barriers and preferences, provide education, support decision making, and maintain long-term relationships to monitor adherence and acceptability of selected interventions. The study will randomly assign 68 adults to either usual care or the navigator condition for 12 months, with assessments at months 0, 6, and 12.
