Description
This project aims to better understand mechanisms to reverse immunoprotection during radiation therapy in adolescent cancer Ewing sarcoma, focusing on tumors with loss of STAG2 protein. The goal is to develop multi-modality treatments to enhance radiation therapy effectiveness and translate findings into new patient treatments. The research involves in vitro analyses, in vivo tumor modeling, and human specimen analyses, including single-cell RNA sequencing, ATAC-seq, and spatial transcriptomics. The study will test therapies in humanized and NSG mice, with collaboration from experts in radiation oncology, sarcoma biology, epigenetics, and bioinformatics.
