Research project funded by NIGMS to study immune response heterogeneity in sepsis using multi-omics and AI to improve diagnostics and therapeutics for chronic critical illness.

Description

The project aims to assess whether multi-omic data of MDSCs can improve sepsis endotyping and predict clinical trajectories better than static measurements, delineate the longitudinal interaction between MDSCs and T cells, and identify potential drugs for intervention from FDA-approved options. This will be achieved through integrative analysis of transcriptomics, chromatin accessibility, DNA methylation, metabolomics, and clinical data, leveraging AI and statistical models.
