A National Institute on Aging award to develop and apply PIP-sort technology for studying reactive astrocytes and their contribution to Alzheimer’s disease.

Description

The project develops and applies PIP-sort, a droplet digital PCR-based method to isolate and analyze rare reactive astrocyte nuclei from frozen brain samples. It will validate the method, use it for transcriptomic and epigenomic profiling, and investigate reactive astrocytes’ roles in Alzheimer’s disease pathology.
