A culturally tailored intervention to improve sleep health and reduce Alzheimer’s disease risk among Latino couples by promoting adherence to sleep apnea treatment.

Description

This project aims to develop and test “Nuestro Sueño,” a culturally-adapted intervention to promote PAP adherence and sleep health among Latino couples. The intervention builds on prior work (“WePAP”) and involves cultural adaptation, focus groups, and a randomized controlled trial (RCT) with 80 couples across Utah and Arizona. The goal is to improve sleep, relationship quality, cognitive function, and reduce ADRD risk.
