Research project funded by NIGMS to study immune endotyping and intervention in chronic critical illness after sepsis using multi-omics and AI to improve patient outcomes.

Description

The project aims to assess whether multi-omic data of myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) can improve sepsis endotyping and predict clinical trajectories better than static measurements, delineate the longitudinal interaction between MDSCs and T cells, and identify potential drugs for intervention from FDA-approved options. This will be achieved through integrative analysis of transcriptomics, chromatin accessibility, DNA methylation, metabolomics, and clinical data using AI and statistical models.
