A NIH-funded research project evaluating the effectiveness of percutaneous catheter-based closure of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm infants to improve neonatal outcomes.

Description

This project is a multicenter randomized trial to determine whether percutaneous closure of hemodynamically significant patent ductus arteriosus (HSPDA) using a novel FDA-approved duct occluder (ADO-II AS) improves cardiopulmonary and neurodevelopmental outcomes in preterm infants compared to supportive, non-invasive therapy.
