Description
The proposed research aims to investigate emotion processing dysfunction and anxiety in early Alzheimer's Disease (AD). The study explores how perception, regulation, and memory of emotional stimuli contribute to AD progression, focusing on risk factors for cognitive decline in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD). Using resting-state and task-based fMRI data, the project will analyze cortico-limbic circuit connectivity and employ machine learning to identify neural markers distinguishing AD from healthy aging. The research will also examine how these neural circuits relate to anxiety and cognitive changes, aiming to improve early diagnosis and intervention.
