This project will examine how exposure to the persistent organochlorine insecticide, toxaphene, and chronic psychosocial stress contribute to the development of cardiometabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease using in vitro and in vivo models paired with high-resolution metabolomics to identify cellular and molecular pathways underlying cardiometabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease risk.
