Description

This project aims to tailor and pilot a brief, motivational interviewing-based lethal means safety (LMS) counseling intervention called RAMP for Veteran firearm owners with elevated suicide risk in VA primary care mental health integration (PCMHI) clinics. The project includes developing the intervention with Veteran input, evaluating feasibility and acceptability in a randomized controlled pilot, and assessing barriers and facilitators of LMS counseling nationally among VHA PCMHI and mental health leaders.
