Description
This project aims to understand the longitudinal relations of age-friendly neighborhoods to cognitive aging, functional decline, and frailty, and to identify underlying pathways, using data from the HANDLS cohort in Baltimore, Maryland. It involves up to 800 participants aged 30-64 at baseline, tracked over 13 years across three waves, analyzing lifetime residential histories, contemporary activity spaces, and administrative data to model neighborhood influences on aging-related health outcomes. Structural equation models will be built to explore effects on health trajectories, with community dissemination planned.
