Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) North/South Rigging Scope of Work/Scope of Services: OCCC desires BASE Consultants to design a new secondary structure to hang show rigging capable of supporting a maximum of 500 lbs. at the entrances to the North and South exhibit halls. The existing structural framing that will support the secondary structure consists of reinforced concrete beams. BASE will provide structural evaluation, design, detailing, and construction administration services. BASE will provide the following structural services: - One (1) site visit to verify existing conditions. A lift provided by OCCC will be needed. - 100% construction documents and specifications. - One (1) virtual meeting with OCCC during design. - Up to two (2) Construction Observation Visits with reports. - Review contractor submittals and answer RFIs. - Record drawings. The existing eye bolts are snapping at the interface with the metal wall panels. OCCC desires BASE to also investigate the feasibility of increasing the eye bolt size to 1" in diameter to allow for the use of sheaves to install the banners. BASE will provide structural evaluation, design, detailing, and construction administration services as follows: - One (1) site visit to verify existing conditions.
