Description

Improved computational models of high-glycosylation proteins that capture their molecular structure-dynamics are imperative to acquire detailed understanding of these critical biomedical entities. The project will use a combination of biophysics-based and machine learning driven approaches to build predictive models of glycoproteins, using mucins as the study case. These models will elucidate the molecular underpinnings that drive their function in normal and diseased conditions, aiding in better therapeutic strategies and the design of mucin-mimetic biomaterials.
