PURCHASE OF ELEVEN (11) NEW CURRENT MODEL CAB & CHASSIS WITH VARIOUS REFUSE BODIES

The City of McAllen issued a solicitation for the purchase of eleven new cab & chassis with various refuse bodies. Bids were to be submitted by December 3, 2015, with mandatory bid bond requirements. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Description

Sealed Bids addressed to Mr. Roel "Roy" Rodriguez, P.E., City Manager, City of McAllen, will be received on December 3, 2015 until 3:00 p.m., at which time they will be taken to Conference Room 2A (2nd Floor), at McAllen City Hall, and publicly opened and read aloud. Bids (both electronic & paper copy) must be in the City of McAllen's possession on or before the aforementioned date and time (no late bids will be accepted). Bidders are specifically advised that it shall be mandatory that a bid bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas, Letter of Credit or certified cashier check totaling five (5) percent (%) of the total amount bid must be provided to the City of McAllen within ten (10) days after notification of award of purchase contract, as a guaranty that the bidder shall meet all specification requirements and delivery dates. Bids are to be submitted electronically, as well as, in hard copy format. The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all Bids and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the bid considered the best and most advantageous to the City. Bids are held for sixty (60) days.
