Description

Integrated Job Services Subsidized Employment/Vocational Training (SE/VTR) Services provide support for Welfare-to-Work (WTW) participants in the Public Subsidized Employment Program (PSEP), Work Experience (WEX), and VTR activities. PSEP is a subsidized employment program which provides job placement for WTW participants, focusing on placement in public/non-profit sectors through collaboration with the County, cities and special districts. WEX services provide subsidized employment and place WTW participants with employers anticipated to result in permanent employment. VTR services provide WTW participants with program referrals and enrollment into vocational-technical schools, postsecondary institutions, proprietary schools, and public institutions to meet an unmet community need in high demand fields. SE/VTR Services also provide additional assistance to WTW participants who complete the subsidized placement and obtain or maintain unsubsidized employment for 30 days.
