Description
The proposed study will leverage a national network of implementation sites to identify key factors that influence long-term sustainment of an evidence-based health promotion intervention in mental health organizations. The study aims to develop, evaluate, and refine a sustainment practice guide for future research and practice, focusing on the long-term sustainment of the InSHAPE lifestyle intervention for adults with serious mental illness (SMI). The research will examine multi-level factors predicting sustainment, collect new data on contextual factors, and collaborate with a network of InSHAPE teams to create a tailored sustainment guide guided by the Program Sustainability Framework. This study addresses critical gaps in understanding the long-term sustainability of health promotion interventions in mental health settings and aims to impact public health and implementation science significantly.
