Description

The project focuses on increasing capacity in environmental health research in the Arab region, particularly regarding extreme weather events. It aims to develop local expertise to provide data and evidence for researchers, practitioners, and health policymakers in the U.S. to better understand and prevent risks associated with environmental exposures such as heat waves, precipitation, water quality, air pollution, and desert dust. The project includes training through summer courses, workshops, U.S. visits, and webinars, collaborating with top institutions and regional partners to inform U.S. policymakers and foster a new generation of researchers.
