Description

This project aims to evaluate the efficacy, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of a telehealth Transitional Pain Service (TPS) to reduce chronic opioid use (COU) among Veterans undergoing orthopedic surgery outside VA hospitals. The study will compare opioid use between Veterans receiving telehealth TPS and those receiving standard care, identify barriers and facilitators to care coordination, and conduct a cost-effectiveness analysis.
