Smart Irrigation Controllers and Master Valve/Flow Sensor with Professional Services

The County of Orange, specifically OC Community Resources, has awarded a firm fixed fee contract to SGD Enterprises, a California Stock Corporation, for the provision and installation of smart irrigation controllers and a master valve/flow sensor with associated professional services. The contract includes the installation of eight HydroPoint WeatherTRAK OptiFlow XR smart irrigation controllers, one Cla-Val master valve, one WeatherTRAK flow sensor with Paige Electric flow sensor cable, and one HydroPoint Rain Sensor (Part # BL-5407-KIT) with hardwire. Each controller includes a 10-year Central Irrigation Management (CIM+OFS) service plan, 10-year warranty, and 10-year field technical support. The flow sensor includes a 3-year warranty and 10-year technical support as part of the CIM+OFS plan. The master valve includes a 1-year installation workmanship warranty. The contract also covers replacement of valve box lids and boxes as detailed in Attachment E, with 31 lids and 53 lid and box replacements. Optional field wiring repairs are available on a time and materials basis. The contract amount is not to exceed $306,951, with $210,951 for equipment, materials, and delivery; $81,000 for labor and installation services; and $15,000 for optional field wiring repairs. The work is to be performed at Mile Square Regional Park, Orange County, California. The contractor is responsible for all commissioning services, integration with existing infrastructure, and compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The contract includes detailed safety and quality assurance requirements, including compliance with California labor codes, prevailing wage laws, and safety regulations. SGD Enterprises is the contractor, with project management and oversight by OC Community Resources personnel located in Irvine, CA. The contract term is one calendar year from execution, with no automatic renewal.
