Description
This project aims to validate transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) as a high-focality, deep brain neuromodulation technique in humans, using the visual system as a test-bed. The work involves testing TUS parameters and efficacy in the thalamic lateral geniculate nucleus and adjacent visual cortex areas, with EEG and behavioral measures. The goal is to delineate optimal parameters and spatial specificity, ultimately providing a precise brain-wide tool for visual system research and therapeutics for disorders like amblyopia, visual hallucinations, dyslexia, and agnosias.
