The Public Works Department of Bellingham, WA, issued a solicitation for architectural and engineering consultant services to design and document a new Public Works Administration, Purchasing, and Training Building. The project includes connecting existing buildings and possibly adding a second story, with completion expected before the end of 2021.

Description

The Public Works Department is seeking qualifications from interested architectural and engineering consultants to aid in development of a project leading to construction of a new building to house Bellingham's Purchasing Department, Administration space, and Training facility. This expansion of the current Operations facility will involve the connection of the Warehouse Building with the main operations building utilizing a multi-story structure. This project will also evaluate the possibility of adding a second story to the Northern portion of the administration building (see Exhibit C). The scope of work includes programming, pre-design and feasibility, planning, design, construction documentation for bidding, and contract administration during construction. The schedule anticipates completion of building construction before the end of 2021.
