Description

This project aims to define the propensity of prostate cancers harboring SPOP mutations to progress to specific subtypes of treatment-resistant castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), and to elucidate the mechanisms shaping these resistance patterns. Using novel models and human samples, the study will investigate how SPOP mutations reprogram AR function, altering chromatin accessibility and transcription, and how drivers like N-Myc and RB1-loss influence disease progression. The findings will inform precision clinical trials.
