Description
The project aims to develop and evaluate a preconception intervention, CHOICES-PLEAS, tailored for incarcerated women with illicit substance use disorders (SUD). The intervention seeks to reduce the risk of substance-exposed pregnancies (SEPs) by promoting drug abstinence and safe sexual practices. This initiative addresses the high prevalence of SUD among women in jail, with the goal of mitigating adverse outcomes for mothers and infants, and improving reproductive health outcomes.
