A research project funded by the National Institute on Aging to study the impact of ACA coverage expansions on health disparities among middle-aged and older adults, using advanced statistical methods to analyze changes before and after 2014.

Description

This project examines whether changes in health care associated with ACA coverage for middle-aged adults (age 50-64) affect downstream health disparities in older adults (age 65). It uses interrupted time series analysis and difference-in-differences analysis to assess impacts on health insurance coverage, health care access, out-of-pocket costs, health, health care utilization, and costs before and after ACA coverage expansions.
