Description
This project aims to develop and evaluate novel ultrasound-based techniques to modulate the blood-brain barrier (BBB) for targeted drug delivery in brain tumors. The research combines high-fidelity mathematical modeling of microbubble dynamics with experimental studies in rodents to optimize ultrasound parameters for safe and effective BBB opening. The project also explores the use of circulating tumor DNA as a biomarker for monitoring treatment response.
