Description

This project investigates how organelles interact and reorganize within aging cells, influencing metabolic resilience. It aims to uncover new targets for preventing or delaying age-related diseases through regulation of subcellular architecture. Using advanced 3D electron microscopy and AI-based image analysis in the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans, the study will map organelle interactions, compare age-dependent changes under different lifespan-extending interventions, and develop genetic tools to manipulate organelle contact sites.
