Award for research on the nuclear pore complex structure and function using Cryo-EM, including technology upgrades for imaging and data processing.
Description
The project aims to determine the structure and function of the nuclear pore complex using cryogenic electron microscopy (Cryo-EM). The research focuses on the core scaffold, Nup connector networks, and the central channel of the NPC in yeast and Trypanosoma brucei. Upgrading the Titan2 cluster with new GPU nodes will facilitate high-resolution imaging and large dataset processing.
