Description
This project aims to measure the effect of an integrated Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) intervention on seasonal increases in enteric pathogen seroconversion among children in rural Bangladesh, and to examine whether effects vary along a wealth gradient. The study will use antibody-based measures of 10 enteric pathogens, collected from a cohort of children aged 6 to 24 months, to assess the impact of the intervention. The project hypothesizes that the protective benefits of WASH will be larger among children exposed to more monsoon months and in poorer households. It will employ generalized additive models to analyze seroconversion data and will transport effects to broader populations using geospatial methods.
