Description
The Data Integrity & Computational Methods Core (DCC) supports the Johns Hopkins Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratory (JHU AITC) in advancing AI solutions for aging and Alzheimer’s disease/related dementias (AD/ADRD). The DCC ensures projects are powered by secure, interoperable, and AI-ready data, integrating diverse sources such as electronic health records, surveys, sensors, imaging, and omics. It provides governance, quality control, harmonization, computational infrastructure, and analytic support to ensure validity, reproducibility, and ethical standards. The DCC has four specific aims: 1. Mentor junior researchers in study design, data pipelines, and quantitative methods. 2. Maintain and modernize infrastructure including the Johns Hopkins Precision Medicine Analytics Platform (PMAP) and provide analytic environments. 3. Support high-priority projects with data management and analytic collaboration. 4. Promote translation and scholarship through partnerships and standards alignment. Led by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in biomedical engineering, biostatistics, health informatics, interoperability, and genomics, the DCC aims to transform heterogeneous clinical and sensor data into reproducible, AI-ready resources to accelerate technological advances in aging and dementia care.
