Description
This project aims to elucidate the mechanistic links between cellular metabolic states, posttranslational modifications, and tumor suppressor protein aggregation, with the goal of identifying new therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. The research focuses on how endogenous metabolites and ubiquitination/phosphorylation posttranslational modifications affect the stability and amyloid formation propensity of p53 and PTEN proteins, which are critical tumor suppressors involved in cancer.
