A research project funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute to develop predictive models for heart failure onset using deep learning and data from electronic health records and wearable devices.

Description

This project aims to predict heart failure onset using multimodal data analysis, deep learning, and wearable devices. The study will analyze electronic health records (EHR), electrocardiogram (ECG), and heart rate variability (HRV) data, including data collected from consumer wearables like smartwatches, to develop models that can identify at-risk patients up to 12 months in advance. The research includes retrospective validation using Michigan Medicine data and a prospective cohort wearing wearable devices for seven days.
