Development and translation of [18F]hGTS13 radiotracer for cancer imaging to assess ferroptosis sensitivity and monitor therapy, led by Stanford University under NIH funding.

Description

This project aims to test the hypothesis that [18F]hGTS13, a system xc- specific radiotracer, can inform on the sensitivity of different cancers to ferroptosis and monitor pharmacological induction of ferroptosis. The project will also translate [18F]hGTS13 for first-in-human investigation. It involves developing and translating a novel radiotracer for cancer imaging, focusing on ferroptosis mechanisms, with potential clinical applications in patient selection and therapy monitoring.
