A research project funded by NICHD to study the impact of adolescent social relationships on midlife health and aging using 25 years of longitudinal data.

Description

This project examines how social relationship qualities established in adolescence—such as experience of hostile conflict and absence of supportive relationships—are linked to midlife health and aging outcomes. Using longitudinal data over 25 years, it aims to predict midlife health from adolescent social relationships, assess mediational and weathering explanations, and explore biological and contextual mediators.
