The project aims to understand and manipulate double-negative T cells (DNTs) to treat autoimmune ovarian failure and ovarian tumors by revealing their role in immune regulation and developing new cell-based therapies.

Description

This project will reveal how DNT cells preserve ovarian immune balance. It will uncover how these cells prevent autoimmunity but can also be engineered for ovarian tumor suppression. The findings will lead to new cell-based off-the-shelf treatments for autoimmune ovarian dysfunction and ovarian cancer.
