Award to develop near-infrared labeled antibodies for targeting and labeling colon polyps and colorectal cancer to improve diagnosis and surgical outcomes, using mouse models and patient-derived xenografts, aimed at clinical trials for fluorescence-guided surgery.
Description
This project aims to develop tumor-specific near-infrared fluorescence labeling of premalignant polyps and colorectal cancer using genetically engineered mouse models and patient-derived orthotopic xenograft models. The goal is to improve surgical outcomes and enable clinical trials of fluorescent anti-mucin antibody-based fluorescence-guided surgery.
