This award funds a project to develop a sentinel network to evaluate the reach, implementation, effectiveness, and costs of evidence-based lifestyle interventions to prevent Type 2 diabetes in U.S. adults by collecting and analyzing data from health systems and diabetes prevention programs.
Description
The project aims to develop a collaborative network of sentinel health systems, National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP), and Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program (MDPP) delivery organizations. It will collect and harmonize data to evaluate participation barriers, facilitators, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of lifestyle interventions. The study will utilize natural experimental research designs to identify social, structural, and individual factors influencing participation and outcomes.
