This award supports the Fred Hutch Lung SPORE Career Enhancement Program, which develops junior and senior faculty into leaders in lung cancer translational research through a structured review and mentorship process.
Description
The Fred Hutch Lung SPORE Career Enhancement Program (CEP) identifies and nurtures the careers of promising junior investigators and senior faculty interested in re-focusing their programs on lung cancer translational research. The program involves a solicitation process to identify talented junior investigators at the post-doctoral fellow and junior faculty levels, as well as senior investigators wishing to re-focus their research. A review process by a panel of senior leaders and an Executive Committee makes final award decisions. The CEP Committee monitors awardees' progress and ensures they benefit from research expertise and core resources. The program effectiveness is monitored and adjusted as needed.
