Description
This project aims to provide the first-ever direct measure of muscle mass in a large sample of community-dwelling postmenopausal women using the D3-creatine method, a highly accurate and scalable measure of muscle mass that can be carried out remotely (at home). The study will compare the antecedents and consequences of low muscle mass in cancer survivors and age-matched cancer-free controls. It will contribute to developing public health recommendations and intervention strategies to prevent low muscle mass and adverse health outcomes in older and long-term cancer survivors.
