This project aims to develop new methodology to reduce motion-related errors in assessing small (<1cm) abdominal masses using concurrent MRI and PET scans. The generated MR/PET scans will improve detection, characterization, and monitoring of small abdominal lesions. The project involves real-time motion correction for MR/PET acquisitions, leveraging the capabilities of existing MR/PET instrumentation to obtain real-time information for reducing artifacts and bias without significantly affecting workflow.
